The presented paper aims to present the results of the pilot study of the issue and preparedness for the school of children in the Olomouc region of the Czech Republic. The research was carried out in order to map the level of preparedness for school for pre-school children in the kindergarten. The MaTeRS method used (Vlčková, Poláková, 2013) makes it possible to assess the developmental level of the child. From the point of view of the need for the current survey, the graphomotoric, drawing and visual-motor expression of children entering school was of interest. The purpose of the communication is to compare and update the survey of children&apos;s readiness for the school with other studies focused on the monitored area (GAČR, Šmelová et al. 2009-2012). Data was obtained by the project IGA_PdF_2019_015.
