Apollonius’ Problem LLC at High School Using ICT
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This article focuses on one specific Apollonius’ problem LLC (two lines and one circle), which can be solved by high school students. Again, let's remember these interesting problems, because Apollonius' problems have always occupied a particularly important place among planimetric problems. Apollonius' problems are not standard problems in mathematics teaching in secondary education, but currently there is a trend to introduce some non-standard tasks into teaching. Within the project "Non-standard problems in mathematics education", we point out the possibilities of integrating non-standard problems into mathematics education, which are more difficult for students to solve, but with the help of ICT can be solved by these students. We point out not only the advantages of using ICT in solving mathematical problems, but also the current trend in mathematics education aimed at developing pupils' digital literacy in connection with the development of their mathematical literacy. Currently, tools of dynamic geometry e.g. GeoGebra are mainly used to solve geometric problems. For each problem, we state which tools of this software students learn while solving this problem. These tools allow students to solve problem not only faster, more accurately, more clearly, but also expand their capabilities to solve more complex problems and take their education to the next level.
