IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATIVE METHODS IN THE TEACHING OF LITERARY EDUCATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF TEACHERS AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The paper builds on the results of research that dealt with the constitution of independent didactics of literature in the center of which there is key to integrate innovative teaching methods. We present the results of a qualitative research with 12 teachers of literature at lower-secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The aim of this research is to explore to which extent those teachers know and apply the innovative methods into their educational practice and which factors influence their decisions. For collecting data, we decided to use structured interviews. All interviews were recorded and subsequently rewritten. Their analysis was done in three steps according to the grounded theory. The research findings may fill a certain gap in the current research in the field of methodology of literature in the Czech Republic. Based on them, it will be possible to take targeted steps to improve the expected situation.
