    New Perspectives in Project Management

  • Popis výsledku v původním jazyce

Project management is a philosophy of thought, which goes far beyond the bounds of science or discipline. The reason for this is the complexity and dynamics of assuring project results. Other equally important factors contributing to the growth of project management importance are global competition, the explosion of knowledge and orientation to the customer. Current instruments of project management allow to respond rapidly and effectively to the inevitable changes of projects, use sophisticated techniques and instruments for limited-time allocation of several different types of projects at the same time under conditions of limited resources. Project management is one of the fundamental elements of organization management. Many experts consider the management of projects the most important activity of the future. The aim of this monograph is to provide readers with a comprehensive overview of the new perspectives of project management and outline future discussion in this field. The scientific monograph is built on high quality theoretical foundations of domestic and foreign bibliographical resources. On this background, we specify and analyze the prospective area of project management. It deals with theories that have had a significant impact on the shaping of scientific discipline called project management. The authors draw attention to the development of project company, related new view on HRM systems, and management of stakeholders in project management. In the submitted work a detailed processing of individual standards of project management can be found. The authors attempt to specify the Prince 2 method and its applications on the agile management. The agile approach is a set of techniques and methodology that helps the team to think more effectively, to work more effectively and make better decisions. It is also about a specific type of thinking. The publication also deals with development waves of human resource management, defines the behavioral competence of project management and creates a comprehensive system of looking at new perspectives project management. The development of human resources shall enter as an important factor in understanding of the substance of a project. This fact runs through our work that specifies new determinants for the next development of this topic. The aim of this monograph is to connect mutual links and trends in the area of project management and characterize the future development of this scientific discipline.
