The small and medium-sized enterprises have an importantplace in the regional development. They contribute to the competitive environment; to the gross domestic product creation; they have a share on the creation of added value and increase the employment rate. The aim of this thesis is to compare the efficiency of the small and medium-sized food industry enterprises in the South Moravia and South Bohemia Regions, to evaluate economic efficiency of these enterprises and theirs benefits to the economic productivity of the mentioned regions.
