This book presents a summary of all the important knowledge that author gained in connection with the research of gifted children of preschool age. Particular chapters are devoted to the history of giftedness and development of professional approaches togiftedness. The special chapter describes the screening of giftedness, that author have realized and new insights that resulted from the research on the method itself, influence of the assessor and gender differences related to Characteristics of giftedness scale results. The last chapter is devoted to the knowledge of the giftedness-oriented practice. The purpose of this book is not primarily to present the results findings and commentary of my own research, but also to provide information and suggestions, which can be used for a deeper understanding of the phenomenon of giftedness and gifted children.
