This study focuses on the issue of the integration of pupils with speech communication (SC) disorders into a mainstream elementary school. Part of this study is an investigation, focusing on the analysis of available documentation of students, interviewswith parents and teachers and the analysis of success at school and of the students' adaptation into the class collective after the transition from the special SLT elementary school in Choustnikovo Hradiste into a mainstream elementary in their place ofresidence. The investigation includes 9 students who completed their school attendance in June 2013 at the SLT elementary school in Choustnikovo Hradiste. In the following period there was a survey among the children and their parents, including questionnaires and active observation of teaching and interviews with the teachers at the elementary schools. The analysis of the survey points out the problems present, which is the increase of expectations towards the children, the decrease in
