THE USE OF SMART TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HRADEC KRALOVE - COMPARATIVE STUDY

E-learning is broadly implemented to education not only at universities but also at secondary schools. E-learning system Moodle together with mobile and smart devices and internet connection distinctly change approach of students to learning. The paper presents results of the research investigation focused on using of mobile and smart devices by university students for learning in distance as well as full-time study. The research was carried at Faculty of Education in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Science, University of Hradec Kralove. The research was realized in May 2016 and it is continuation of the research that was realized and published in 2014 [1]. The goal of the research was find out the change and development of the using of mobile and smart devices by students within two years. The results shows significant increase of use of smart phones while the use of notebook decreased. The shift toward the smart phones confirm that e-learning material has to be improved to be applicable in different types of mobile and smart devices that student are used in their everyday life.
