The chapter recalls a less known connection between the two best known parts of Petr Hájek's legacy, i.e., between the knowledge discovery method GUHA and formal fuzzy logic: the connection of fuzzy logic to hypotheses testing, which forms one of the keycomponents of the statistical principles of GUHA. It presents an overview of research into fuzzy hypotheses testing in the context of the GUHA method. A motivation for that research is explained and a survey of published results is given.
