New hybrid monitoring method using moving vehicle for investigation of bridge dynamic parameters
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The contribution is based on the previous work using the interaction between a moving vehicle and a bridge to indirectly determine bridge frequencies and other properties. The described research introduces an indirect technique for measuring the frequency of a simply supported beam by employing a test vehicle. This method involves on-site measurements, capturing the bridge's vibrations as the vehicle traverses it. The bridge's frequencies are then deduced from the dynamic response of the vehicle. Our experimental setup involves a test vehicle traveling over a bridge to assess the structure's frequency. For laboratory and field tests, we engineered the test vehicle as a single degree of freedom (SDF) system, allowing vertical oscillations. In the lab, the vehicle was maneuvered along the beam using a tension cable system, ensuring consistent contact with the beam. Our findings confirm the viability of this indirect method for frequency monitoring in bridge inspections.
