SOME OF CONSEQUENCES OF WIDE-RANGING APPLICATION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Automotive industry is changing and may be very different in coming years. These changes are most significant in the whole hundred year history. These changes are caused by more and more strict emission legislation and fines for non-fulfilling legislation requirements. Limit of 130 g/km of CO2 is binding from 2015, and limit of 95 g/km will be effective from 2021. The European commission approved the additional lowering of the limit from about 37,5% to approx. 60 g/km by the year 2030. The situation is complicated with requirements to measure emissions in the new driving cycle per WLTP for each car modification, including the real drive emission measurements starting in 2020. Not fulfilling these requirements will be penalized by 95 Euro for each gram of CO2 multiplied by the number of cars sold. Thus, the car manufacturers are pressed to developed, produce and sell electrified cars, especially battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. This article is dealing with some consequences of wide-ranging application of electric vehicles under the assumption that all passenger and light-duty cars under 3,5 tons are replaced by electric vehicles.
