Subjective stress rating in use of efis systems on board of ultra light aircraft
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper presents subjective results from experiment with focus on ultra-light aircraft (aircraft with MTOM<2250kg) pilots? capability to recognize critical situation, mainly arising from inappropriate manoeuvres or engine failure resulting in emergency landing. At Czech Technical University in Prague was designed emergency landing assistant and virtual electronic flight information system (EFIS) used in glass cockpits. Glass cockpits are slowly replacing the gauges and will play an important role inthe future. Some systems are also equipped with guidance systems to help pilot maintain correct flight level and to aid him with safe approach and landing. Experiment described in this paper tries to identify if pilots can miss a moment, where the aircraft and crew could get into dangerous situation which can possibly be resulting in accident. Benefits of EFIS systems with special software equipment are then discussed.
