This work is concerned with pre-processing and analysis of data measured during the mental rotation task. This task quantifies spatial abilities of individuals. Behavioral data, reaction time and EEG signal by standard 10-20 system were measured in a sample of 16 mentally gifted children (10 boys, 6 girls, IQ > 130, aged 15-17) and 12 average adolescents (6 boys, 6 girls, IQ [90,110]>, aged 15-18). The aim of the work was to determine the differences between gifted and non-gifted adolescents in terms ofreaction time, accuracy of the answers and involvement of the specific brain regions. We also investigated differences between genders.
