It is not possible to evaluate only the final stage of consumption in vehicles when assessing ecological advantages of using alternative fuels, but we must consider the entire "life cycle" including the previous stages of production resources, fuel production and distribution to the consumer. Only a comprehensive analysis is objective and allows to count with the fact that in some cases the production phase is so environmentally and energyintensive, that the positive effect the final consumption of fuelin the vehicle.
