Legislative Analysis of Advertising Device Regulation Along Roads in the Czech Republic and Europe
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Advertising devices along roads have a significant impact on road safety. This paper focuses on the analysis of Czech legislation governing the placement and operation of advertising devices near roads, particularly the Road Act and the Advertising Regulation Act. Special attention is given to the issue of light and dynamic advertisements, which can distract drivers and increase the risk of accidents. The paper also compares Czech regulations with legislative approaches in selected European countries, where rules for the placement of advertising devices are stricter and more focused on preventing threats to traffic safety. Inspiring examples from abroad highlight possible improvements, such as clearly defined distances from roads, restrictions on dynamic advertisements, and requirements to prevent glare. The goal of this study is to identify shortcomings in Czech regulations, propose improvements, and enhance road safety through more effective regulation of advertising devices.
