Experimental setup for tests of radiation semiconductor detectors

This experimental setup was developed in means of investigation of the detection mechanisms of a variety of radiation semiconductor detectors. Function of this setup is oriented on measurement and analysis of current pulses induced by red and infra-red lasers, minimum ionizing particles, and alpha particles. The pulses are amplified by wide-band amplifiers and stored using a digital scope, and numerically analyzed by means of Ramo theorem. The experimental setup is arranged in a metal case shielding electromagnetic noise. This case is placed in a flow box providing air with defined cleanness level and has a bored back side for continuous clean air flow. The setup is equipped by a system of dry air and by temperature monitors. Guarantee of the cleannessair level permits to manipulate high-granularity position-sensitive semiconductor detectors. The dry-air system and temperature monitors allow to measure studied samples under adjustable temperature (from -30°C up to room temperature).
