This contribution was written within the framework of the GA ČR (Czech Science Foundation) grant-maintained project: Reg. No. 406/08/0459, Developing Managerial Tacit Knowledge. The paper introduces partial results of the research gained mostly from thequestionnaire survey among Czech managers. The questionnaire was focused on these questions: In what areas of managerial work do you have reserves that can be eliminated by further development (training)? What is your personal experience with managerialtraining and development courses? What are the weaknesses of managerial training courses? How much do you use the knowledge gained in the training courses in your work? What are the barriers that you have to face when you want to apply newly acquired knowledge into practice? Etc.
