FACTORS INFLUENCING EMPLOYEES’ CHANGES TO REMOTE WORK
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Remote work has become the most frequent working mode due to disruptions during the COVID19 pandemic. This study’s objective is to explore factors contributing to employees' sudden adjustments to remote work and examine how each factor influences those changes. A theoretical section that reviews previous studies on telework to have a decent understanding of this area, followed by the uantitative research conducted based on empirical research with the sample size of 263 employees who had worked remotely to evaluate the proposed conceptual model. The findings reveal that there are three key factors influencing employees' changes to remote work, namely, job performance criteria (structural factors), management styles and social relationship (relational factors), as well as changing requirements (contextual factors). The data also shows that structural and contextual factors play a crucial role in promoting adjustments. Furthermore, theoretical and practical implications are also addressed during and after the pandemic.
