In this paper, the authors try to find answers to questions relating to the selection of solved examples from the Single Variable Calculus field that could evoke positive motivation in students of economic and security disciplines at universities in their studies of Mathematical subjects. They concern the dependency of the selection of examples with respect to the timing of their presentation in the tuition process; at the same time, as the question of the adequacy of these examples with respect to the students’ level of knowledge in their first year of studies. At the end of the article, some demonstration examples are mentioned, which contain Single Variable Calculus applications that require a knowledge of only the most basic parts of the given subject matter. Therefore, these not-too-difficult examples can be used - as the authors hope, for the evetual interest of other users at other universities with Engineering disciplines. Abstrakt
