This contribution is focused on the issue of skills, abilities and general capacities of students studying tourism at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava. Defining what the students know theoretically and what they should train in practice is a necessaryprecondition of a successful work and social adaptation in an organisation which provides the practical training. This work informs about the outputs of learning at the theoretical level and it brings a list of practical activities that the students ofVŠPJ should be trained in in practice. This list was created by academicians, professionals from practice and also by students themselves and it is, as well as the outputs of learning, in compliance with the National Qualification Framework of Tertiary Education in the Czech Republic.
