On the equivalence and verb control of 'znát' in the Czech language, 'znaja' in the Bulgarian language and 'znati' in the Ukrainian language with a view to foreign language learning
Popis výsledku anglicky
The object of this study are verbs with the meaning 'know' in the Czech, Bulgarian and Ukrainian languages, which are part of the semantic-syntactic group for mental activity. With the present analysis, we aim to trace how the semantic differences in these verbs in these three languages are reflected at the grammatical level. The subject of our work is the equivalence and rection of these lexemes. Due to the different development of the three languages, there are differences in verb rection that can make it difficult for learners of one of these languages as a foreign one. Verbs of mental activity are largely related to abstract vocabulary in language therefore the logic and methodical tables may not always be sufficient in foreign language learning. This problem is of interest to comparative linguistics both theoretically and in view of its applied aspects related to with the teaching and learning of each of the three languages as a foreign language.
