  • Popis výsledku v původním jazyce

The diploma thesis deals with the didactic use of children's literature with the theme of the Holocaust in the first grade of primary school as part of the Czech language and literature lesson. The theoretical part terminologically defines the terms the Holocaust and the Shoah, addressing the embedding of the Holocaust theme in the Framework of educational program for primary schools. It deals with reading and reading literacy and presents a classification of reading strategies. Attention is focused on RWCT methods that support critical thinking among pupils. The content of the practical part is the formation of teaching lessons, together with the implementation in the 4th and 5th grades of primary school. The lesson is based on the E-U-R model, and we attempted to incorporate methods that foster critical thinking among pupils. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to create worksheets for selected books and their application in the Czech language and literature lessons. We work with the books ""Lists In a Bottle: A story about Irena Sendler"" by Anna Czerwinska-Rydel and ""Red Ribbon"" by Annika Tetzner. Through the implementation of lessons, we can assess their effectiveness or suggest possible modifications and notice deficiencies. Among other things, we map pupils' awareness of the Holocaust and present a possible treatment of the theme in Czech language and literature lessons.
