Eine Hörbehinderung hat einen eindeutigen Einfluss auf das Leseverständnis. Dieser Artikel widmet sich einer Analyse der Zusammenhänge zwischen dem Leseverständnis der CI-Kinder und ihrer Schuleinrichtung. Um festzustellen, wie es mit dem Leseverständnis bei Schülerinnen und Schülern mit Cochlea-Implantat in Main-Stream-Grundschulen wie auch in Schulen für Kinder mit Hörbehinderung aussieht, haben wir in unserer Forschung Kaufmanns nonverbalen Subtest 16 Hörverständnis aus Kaufmanns Bewertungsset für Kinder K-ABC genutzt, der für 7-12,5 Jährige standardisiert ist. Die Ergebnisse der Messung mit diesem Test haben wir analysiert. Aus der Analyse ging hervor, dass drei Viertel von Schülerinnen und Schülern mit Cochlea-Implantat beim Hörverständnis gegenüber ihren hörenden Altersgenossen ein gewisses Defizit aufweisen. Diese Feststellungen sind mit vielen ausländischen Forschungen vergleichbar und außerdem weisen sie auf zunehmende Probleme mit steigendem Schwierigkeitsgrad von Texten auf Sekundarschulen hin.

Hearing impairment has an obvious influence on reading comprehension. This paper focuses on reading comprehension in students with cochlear implants. In order to find out what's the situation concerning reading comprehension of students with cochlear implants in mainstream elementary schools and in schools for students with impaired hearing we used in our research study the non-verbal Kaufman subtest 16 from Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children K-ABC which is standardized for the population of students 7-12,5 years of age. Afterwards, we analyzed the results of measuring with this test. The analysis showed that three quarters of students with cochlear implants demonstrate certain deficit in reading comprehension when compared with their hearing peers. These findings correspond to many foreign researches, which - furthermore - point out the growing difficulty of texts at secondary schools.
