Student Engagement in the Digital Learning Milieu
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
An indispensable part of the motivation in the domain of education is student participation. When students are learning or being taught, it refers to how engaged, inquisitive, attentive, enthusiastic, and passionate they are. This extends to how motivated they are to study and improve in their education. Motivation is perceived as an adhesive that brings together all facets of student learning and growth. Enduring students' gusto in their school has been a puzzle that many educational professionals have not yet solved. With the advent of digital learning in the past two decades, students' engagement has become an acid test for educationists. As it requires more motivation and discipline for learners to work in isolation. The characteristics of four different types of student engagement—cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and agentic—concerning digital learning will be covered in this chapter. As these dimensions are vital for promoting a stronger sense of belongingness with their school. Such connections motivate students to excel academically and develop a positive sense of social and emotional well-being.
