Ensuring fair remuneration is a challenge for all employers, not only in the Czech Republic but also in other countries. Employers must be able to assess the value of work within the organisation. It is for this purpose that the Methodology for Assessment, Complexity, Responsibility and Workload has been developed and certified. The objective of the chapter is to demonstrate the wide applicability of the chosen method and to highlight the pitfalls of comparing manual and non-manual work. The chapter will first introduce the methodology and then apply it to selected examples of craft work, which are Forester, Pastry chef, Painter, Bookbinder, Metal engraver, Modiste, Hairdresser, Jewellery maker, Tailor of costumes, Artistic carpenter, Artistic blacksmith and locksmith. Based on the application of the method, their relative complexity, responsibility and exertion will be determined. Therefore, the methods used in this chapter are modelling and comparison.
