The goal of this paper is to give information about the problematics of primary computer and information literacy among pupils attending elementary school. Furthermore the paper describes a process of making and evaluating of an accomplished survey whichaim was to analyze a present state of primary computer and information literacy by a form of questionnaire. Literacy as a concept is described first then the primary computer and information literacy as such follows. Hereafter this paper deals with computer and information literacy's grades that are defined by curricula documents. Afterwards the actual possibilities of how to map a present state of primary computer and information literacy among pupils attending elementary school are put forward and the qualifications of their very teachers in a field of primary information education are assessed. In this conference paper answers for following theses shall be detected: What kind of qualification and precondition does a teacher himself
