Granding of Pupils in History: One-Year Research in the Czech Republic

This academic paper informs us about the partial results of the research study which focused on some broader relations of the school achievement of pupils attending the seventh forms of law secondary schools. While focusing on the school results, the paper also addresses the context of the selected arbitrary variables (i.e. location of the region, type of the family, the parents ´educational level, the pupil´s physical disposition, the pupil´s inclination to the given value type) and the controlled dependent variables (the final assessment in history). In this paper, the pupils´school results are evaluated by examining the five formulated hypotheses on the sample taken from 1819 pupils from all regions of the Czech Republic. For that reason, the author of this paper makes use of the Chi-square test on a 5% level of significance and subsequently opens the polemics associated with the causes of the identified statistically significant relations.
