Der vorliegende Beitrag knüpft an neuere Entwicklungen der Sprachwissenschaft an, Sprichwörter und ihre Varianten unter dem Gesichtspunkt ihrer Rolle im mentalen Lexikon von Sprecherinnen und Sprecher zu analysieren. Vor diesem Hintergrund wird anhand von Beispielen aus dem Deutschen gezeigt, dass Sprichwörter, ihre Varianten und zugrundeliegende Strukturmuster als Konstruktionen im Sinne der Konstruktionsgrammatik (Ziem / Lasch 2013; Goldberg 1995, 2013) betrachtet werden können. Auf interdisziplinäre Weise werden damit parömiologische und (konstruktions-)grammatische Perspektiven miteinander verknüpft, um die Rolle von Sprichwörtern im Sprachgebrauch und im sprachlichen Wissen der Mitglieder von Sprach- und Kulturgemeinschaften zu analysieren.

The present article ties in with recent developments in linguistics, analyzing proverbs and their variants from the point of view of their role in the mental lexica of speakers. Against this background, examples from German will be used to show that proverbs, their variants, and underlying structural patterns can be regarded as constructions in the sense of construction grammar (Ziem / Lasch 2013; Goldberg 1995, 2013). In an interdisciplinary way, paremiological and (construction) grammatical perspectives are thus linked to analyze the role of proverbs in language use and in the linguistic knowledge of the members of linguistic and cultural communities.
