STRESS, SELF-EFFICACY AND WELL-BEING AMONG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper reports the results of follow-up research on stress coping strategies among university students, with a focus on general self-efficacy and its influence on coping with stress, as well as on the perceived well-being of the student population. The questionnaires on Self-efficacy ? General Self-efficacy Scale GSES (N=280) and on judgemental aspects of the Well-being ? Satisfaction With Life Scale SWLS (N=238) were completed by students of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague (N=438).The results were statistically compared (using the t-test) to the respective normative samples. Students from the CULS sample scored significantly higher on the scale of perceived self-efficacy than the group of students at the University of Economics inPrague (VSE); however, their satisfaction with life was lower than expected. Some other results of statistical analysis and their possible implications are discussed as well.
