In the field trials the effect of ecological way of the cultivation of table potatoes (in comparison with conventional way) on selected factors of tuber quality in the years 1995 ? 1997 was estimated. From the results of statistical evaluation it is evident that the ecological way of cultivation positively affected nitrate and reducing saccharides content that was in this variant (average of all varieties and three years) by 11 % and 22 % lesser in comparison with conventional way. In contrary, negativeeffect of ecological way of cultivation was determined in total polyphenol content (by 10.2 % higher) and yields per ha (by 36 % lesser).
