El texto presente subraya la imposibilidad de existir una traducción fuera del contexto cultural. El mundo literario de Augusto Roa Bastos se caracteriza con el bilinguismo (espanola y guarani) por lo cual la traducción encuentra ciertas dificultades. Eltraductor polaco de Yo el Supremo, Andrzej Nowak demuestra una creatividad inusual en la translación de los numerosos juegos de palabras que presentan el modo de pensar guarani. Se postula la introducción de una "tercera" lengua, diferente del polaco oficial.

The literary world of many Augusto Roa Bastos novels is characterized by (Span-ish and Guaraní) bilingualism which results in specific difficulties encountered by translators. Andrzej Nowak, the Polish translator of I, the Supreme, shows extraordinary creativity in translating numerous word games reflecting the way of thinking of Gauaraní Indians in the Spanish language. To appropriately reflect the sound of the Paraguayan language in I, the Supreme, it is postulated to introduce in the Polish version some ?third? language, different from the standard Polish language.
