Dankzij het onderzoek binnen het door Herbert van Uffelen ge?nitieerde platform Literatur im Kontext is er inmiddels relatief veel bekend over Tsjechische vertalingen van Nederlandstalige literatuur in boekvorm, vooral na Wereldoorlog I. De receptie vóórWereldoorlog I is echter nog veelal ononderzocht gebied, hoewel er in Tsjechische literaire tijdschriften tamelijk veel belangstelling was voor Nederlandse en Vlaamse literatuur. Op basis van onderzoek dat de laatste jaren bij de Palacký Universiteit inOlomouc is uitgevoerd kunnen we het beeld van deze receptie aanvullen. In deze bijdrage proberen we om aan de lezer een indruk te geven van de receptie van de Tachtigers door de Tsjechische generatie van de Negentigers.

Thanks to the research within the platform Literatur im Kontext initiated by Herbert Uffelen, we know relatively much about Czech translations of Dutch literature in book form, especially after World War I. The reception before World War I is a still mostly unexplored area, although there was quite a lot of interest in Czech literary magazines for Dutch and Flemish literature. On the basis of research from recent years performed at Palacký University in Olomouc, we may complete the picture of this reception. In this article we try to give to th reader an insight in the reception of the generation of the Eighties by the Czech generation of the Nineties.
