Interest of Primary School Pupils in Natural Science Disciplines

The contribution is focused on interest of primary school pupils in natural science disciplines (mathematics, physics and chemistry) in the areas of: popularity of these disciplines, possibility of choosing them as optional disciplines, pupils? participation in competitions, their spare time activities, choice of future studies and profession with regard to using physics, chemistry and mathematics. We compare the research outcomes from the years 2006 and 2008. We consider the role of the intervening variable in the form of application of new methods of youth?s creativity focused on the motivation for scientific research activities in the area of natural sciences, mainly in the fields of mathematics, physics and chemistry.
