The article first briefly introduces the Czech Republic, than it defines terms used by the description of the issue. It concentrates on chosen aspects of the education of pupils with the different mother tongue, especially on the key curricular document which is the Framing educational programme for elementary education. It shows three possibilities, how can teacher present the content of the concept in the instruction (definition, prototypes and typical concepts). Thereinafter the article presents the process of the qualitative research, the method was a structured interview with pupils with the different mother tongue (Vietnamese and Korean pupils, which are culturally and linguistically significantly different from the Czech pupils). We were following the prototypes of concepts by pupils with the different mother tongue especially we observed the supposed difference by understanding the concepts between the Czech pupils and pupils with the different mother tongue. At the end, we discuss shortly the results that children's cultural and language adaptation to the new environment is very fast, the majority of pupils integrate quickly into Czech society, especially with the support of Czech peers.
