The presented article is a survey of the author´s practical knowledge, which she has been acquired during 12 years work in advisory centre for children with hearing disability and their families. For the last three years the consulting is more frequentlyfocused on children who suffer from medium, severe auditory disorders or from complete deafness (dg. surditas practica). Three basic aspects are usually considered as a fundamental for understanding and next intervention of life of children with hearingdisability. There are general information relating to: 1. particular developmental tasks in children with hearing disability, 2. knowledge of communication forms, 3. knowledge acquired from psychological assessment of pre-school children with hearing disability. The main aim of study is to describe and analyse practical experience with the examination of 40 pre-school children with hearing problems, their environmental conditions. Last, but not least, to summarise some of advisory princ
