Tourism is one of the fastest growing economic sectors. Growing competitive pressure increases the demands on service quality as the requirements and attitudes of customers are constantly evolving and changing. Due to the specific nature of tourism services, the offer may be copied easily and in some sectors, it can differ only in the quality of the services provided. The quality of services is assessed from technical and functional points of view, while individual factors may be evaluated according tocustomer satisfaction. As the approaches to the interpretation and evaluation of the quality of services are equivocal, the quality factors in different sectors had to be examined. The identification and importance of the quality factors and competitiveness are currently subjects of research of many expert studies and articles focused on tourism economics.
