The objective of this paper is to verify what demands and requirements the visitors to urban destination make concerning the quality of tourism services. Identifying the most significant factors and determining the relations between the age and gender of the visitors and the importance of individual quality factors for particular segments of visitors is the contribution of the submitted material. The results can provide important information for managing sustainable development and the competitiveness of the destination. The data that enter the analysis were obtained through primary research and were tested statistically. The set of respondents was formed by the visitors to urban destinations who were evaluating the importance of individual factors of quality. On the basis of the results it was proved that for evaluating the quality of urban destinations it is suitable to use 19 factors of quality that are generally applicable in destinations. The most important of them are the factors of Cultural monument, Sense of security and Destination cleanliness. The visitors' requirements differ with regard to their age category as well as gender.
