Di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate and di-n-butyl phthalate in the tissues of pigs and broiler chiks after their oral administration
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The distribution and cumulation of the most toxic phthalates di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP), was followed up in the tissues of pigs and broiler chicks after their oral application. The presence of mono-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP), a metabolite of DEHP, in the blood and urine was investigated. In pigs, phthalates were analyzed in the liver, kidneys, lungs, brain, heart, muscle, renal and subcutaneous fats. While in broilers, they were examined in the muscle, skin, liverand mesenterial fat tissue. The analysis was performed right after the 14 days of application and then 14 and 28 days after the last day of phthalate application. DEHP was present in the blood and urine of pigs, whereas broiler s blood was positive forMEHP. The lipophilic character of DEHP and DBP was confirmed.
