Learning of biology at universities is done through the practical lessons, lectures and selfstudying. There are different methods that could be used: microscopic observing, experiments, discussions, examination, writing the tests, lecturing, seminar works, e-learning etc. New age brings new methods to make study more attractive for students. It could be done through using of interactive boards, voting equipment, animations and videos. This paper brings information about our experiences with the creation of videos used in Biology. The videos were made by the students of High schools. Under supervising, they made several sequences of videos, than prepared short video using free available programs and provided video with titles and music. They prepared two videos: Methods of molecular biology used for detection of bird sex and Inheritance of color of eyes in fruit fly - genetic experiment. Videos are available for students at web page of University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno and also on YouTube. The videos fulfill modern trends of education and provide easy and fast access of students to modern information sources. Students are good partners to prepare modern study materials.
