This paper focuses on the use of tablets in children of preschool age. Specifically, children with special educational needs. The aim of the research was to explore the use of probes tablet devices such as expanding into the Czech special education. As a basic research technique was chosen unstandardized questionnaire. Respondents were parents of children with special educational needs. We focused on the technical parameters used tablets (operating systems), then the actual use of tablets (applications), tracking benefits in terms of users, cooperation with teachers and other educational staff on movement patterns and habits of children in the use of tablets. The results of the survey showed that the most commonly used tablet is from the perspective of parents tablet Apple iPad. Our experience also shows that the tablet is a great means of communication and an important motivator in all activities of the child.
