This paper presents research results of the pedagogical experiment comparing test scores in three subjects (Database Systems, Management, IT English) taught in the ICT-supported distance way or in the traditional present way at the Faculty of Informaticsand Management, University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. The received results are discussed from the point of cognitive and learning styles, mainly focusing on the suitability of e-learning to student´s individual learning style.
