The article is focused on the financial literacy of the citizens in the Czech Republic and abroad. Firstly, is defined financial literacy. Secondly is defined Web 2.0. Next part of the article is focused on the households and total indebtedness that is rising in the Czech Republic. Next field of research are the ways how to improve financial literacy in all age groups. Main part of the article is focused on the web portals used in financial education as a support of financial literacy in the Czech Republic. There are presented three online solutions from the public institutions in the article. One of them is product from the Czech national bank. Primary and secondary sources were used in the processing of the article. The goal of the article is to focus on the financial literacy and to present results from web portals which are focused on the education in the field of the financial literacy. Ways how to increase financial literacy are recommended.
