A managers professional success depends to a significant degree on Tacit Knowledge. By Tacit Knowledge we understand this as the practical know-how gained on the basis of experience acquired through the resolution of profession-related situations. Research into Tacit Knowledge is coming to the fore in various scientific professions and educational fields. It also has a specific standing in a managers daily activities as well as in his professional training and development. In our research, we seek to resolve the possibilities for the use of diagnostic tools and on making managerial tacit knowledge explicit. Situational diagnostics and the act in social situations, are the most effective tools. The research results show, if one wants to be successful ina managerial position, one must have Tacit Knowledge covering a variety of areas. Above all, one must acquire Tacit Knowledge about those people with whom one comes into contact. There exists a general managerial Tacit Knowledge as well
