    From a Novice Teacher to a Teacher Mentor (Support Strategies for Development of In-service Teachers)

    In the Czech Republic, the Educational Fund of the Ministry of Education and Sports sponsors activities of universities that promote quality lifelong learning of teachers at all levels. Faculty of Humanities of Tomas Bata University in Zlin, the Czech Republic, received a grant to engage in these activities. The project responds on the needs of the Zlin region in lifelong learning and career growth of teachers. The target groups will be novice teachers at preschool facilities, primary and secondary schools as well as advance beginners, experienced teachers and expert teachers who might become teacher mentors of novice teachers. Courses will be offered to them in the form of modules. Within the project, strategies for networking of schools which enter the project will be created. Schools that provide teaching practice for pre-service students will be integrated in the project as well.
