There was a marketing research among visitors in 33 selected areas of cultural tourism done in the Region of Vysočina (Czech Republic). This research was realized by the Department of Travel and Tourism of the College of Polytechnics Jihlava from October 2014 to October 2015. Primary data were obtained from more than 4,000 visitors. A questionnaire survey was used as a research method. Main aim of this paper is to present the most interesting research results, for example about a structure of visitors in cultural sites of the Vysočina Region. When compared with results of another marketing research from 2007, there can be seen an increase of number of visitors with children or a significant increase of visitors who came to the Region of Vysočina from a distance under 100 kilometers. The research results will be used by the Vysočina Region as a base material for creating a new Tourism Development Strategy of the Vysočina Region by the year 2025.
